Not the only choice (of keyboard layouts)
I’ve come across the Dvorak keyboard layout a number of times previously, but had not considered switching until this summer when I came across Tynan’s switching posts.

There are now a number of alternatives to QWERTY, ALL improving on the ‘effort’ to type on the keyboard.
The switch is quite simple at the OS level with Windows, Mac, and Linux supporting it in their settings.

However, having this layout raises the question of what to do with VI - others have asked this question and provided solutions
